Hand Forged Leuku Knife

If anyone out here has been thinking about buying a Leuku, here's your chance to get a good one. The Leuku is a traditional survival knife that goes back centuries in Finland and Sweden, where they are used for everything from chopping wood to butchering reindeer. I made this one with a 6 inch blade, which I think is a good all-around size. It is 1.5 inches wide and 3/16 thick, making it more rugged than any of the commercially made Leukus which are usually 1/8 or less. Hand forged from 1080 high carbon steel, tough and razor sharp. Nicely contoured handle made of curly maple. Hand Made sheath of heavy duty 8 ounce leather. Fits any size belt up to well over 2 inches. I was originally asking $180 for this piece, but I just discounted it down to $135, free shipping included.

Dan

Thanks! I'm surprised it's still around, the 4-inch version I made sold in a week. I might get attached if no one claims it soon.
