I run the Gransfors Small forest axe and an Adventure Sworn. I love them both!

Re: Knives, Axes and Saws

The knife I actually have on me when I'm outside doing stuff is my Opinel #8. Bought it on a whim a few years ago because it was only about 12 bucks (more now, probably), but it became my full-time edc from then on. I haven't felt the need to replace it. Kind of ironic that I would carry a cheap pocket knife, but a knife in the pocket is worth two in the drawer, I say.

Re: Knives, Axes and Saws

My gear changes depending on what I'm doing and where I am. When Schrader came out with their 36 frontier knife about three years ago or so, I ordered one because it was around $30. The sheath was junk but I've been putting this Knife through hell every week since I've had it. It's became a project with me. Long term test I suppose. I've broke a esse and a k bar. This cheap thing is still going.
