Nice review. I've always preferred the .22 caliber air rifles over the far more common .177 but good ones are hard to find.

For most of my life a Case Stockman was the only knife I carried unless I was hunting. If I were truly stranded and had to survive for weeks or longer I would want a larger fixed blade but for everyday carry a good folder is fine.

Nice adventure there. I would surmise that the animal was not hostile though. Many animals are blinded by light, I've actually walked up close enough to touch deer at night and they never see me, just the strange floating light. What animal it was I don't know, may have been a very dangerous animal ...
